Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs borders 51 miles of the Gulf of Mexico shoreline and is located just 45 minutes north of St. Petersburg. It is a city rich in culture, history and filled with Greek heritage.

Nicknamed the “Venice of the South” and also “The Sponge Capital of the World”, Tarpon Springs is home to the world famous Sponge Docks, an active working waterfront which began in the 1800s and still thrives today.

In the historic district you can walk along brick lined streets and enjoy a myriad of experiences such as art, museums, eclectic shopping & retail, dining and various small businesses.

Tarpon Springs also offers a wide variety of recreational outdoor activities. Located between the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Tarpon, the city is boasts multiple beaches and waterfront parks, perfect for boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, shell hunting and more.
