Indian Rocks Beach

Indian Rocks beach is a thriving community that embraces its original character and supports a lively mixture of recreational activities. According to legend, Indian Rocks Beach got its name when a native medicine man miraculously healed his chief with the waters from a natural sulfur spring located in Kolb Park across from City Hall. Early settlers would see the Indians on their way to the “rock encircled spring” and would say, “The Indians are on their way to the rocks.” With almost three miles of beautiful beaches and 27 access points, the city’s tourist population is one of its greatest assets and people come from all over the world to visit and enjoy the warm sun and breathtaking sunsets. Offering a Nature preserve and parks along with their sandy shores, you are sure to find a smile on every face and a warm Florida welcome.
