Treasure Island

Treasure Island will remind you of a place you probably only thought existed in books. Deriving its name from an early hotel owner who intentionally buried and then “discovered” a couple wooden treasure chests on the beach. Of course, news of this discovery quickly spread and thus the name “Treasure Island” was given. With three miles of sugary white sand along the Gulf of Mexico, residents and visitors alike consider that more of a draw than any buried treasure. There are plenty of beach activities to partake in as well, such as swimming, shelling, sunning, snorkeling, parasailing or even a simple walk on the beach to absorb some of the most stunning sunsets each and every night. Treasure Island is filled with residential homes, high end condominiums, beach cottages, and hotels. There are plenty of beach businesses from beach bistros to fine dining and boutique shopping to your local surf shop, and all of it is within a three-mile walking distance.
